Armagnac is mainly made from the same light grape varieties that are used to make cognac - Folle Blanc, Ugni Blanc and Colombardi. Wine fermented from grapes is distilled using the column or Coffey method. As a result of double distillation, a drink with an alcohol content of 52% is obtained, which is matured in an oak barrel. Armajakk is unique in that no water is added to the distillate, but as a result of aging in an oak barrel, part of the alcohol evaporates, which reduces the alcohol content.
