One of the oldest wine houses in the Champagne region was founded in 1760 by Reims judge François Delamotte. His son, Nicholas-Louis, who was also a Knight of the Order of Malta, took Jean-Baptiste Lanson as a partner and started in 1798. to use the Maltese cross as the Champagne Lanson logo. 1837 the name was changed to "Lanson et Cie". Champagne Lanson has been the official champagne supplier of the British royal family (The Royal Warrant) for more than 120 years and the main partner of the Wimbledon tennis tournament for more than 45 years. There are 57ha of private vineyards around the city of Reims, and the separate 16ha Domaine de la Malmaison vineyard is certified by Demeter, which cultivates biodynamic agriculture. With a fine dense bubble stream, medium intensity salmon pink in color. The aroma is straight berry, you can feel cranberry, fresh raspberries and ripe red wild berries. A little florality is added to the end of the aroma. The palate is dry, medium-bodied and lively with berries, with hints of fresh red currants, raspberries, cranberries and red-skinned apples. The aftertaste is long, uniform and elegantly berry-chalky. The grapes come from different growing areas of the Champagne region, the base wine is fermented in stainless steel barrels, the color is 7% red wine made from the Pinot Noir variety. The second fermentation with autolysis in the bottle on yeast vinegar lasts 4 years.
