Jules Gautret started making cognac in 1847 and until the second half of the 20th century was known as a small top producer both in France and in its neighboring countries. After World War II, Charantes was bought by the cooperative - Unicognac. The Gautret family has also been the mayor of Jonzac for over a century. Jules Gautret 10 YO: Ugni Blanc (90%), Folle Blanche (5%), Colombard (5%). The grapes are picked from two areas - Petit Champagne and Fins Bois.
