In most cases, cognacs are mixed together from specially aged distillates (eaux-de-vie) from different sub-regions of Cognac. The highest quality and oldest cognacs are made only in the heart of the Cognac county, i.e. in the Grande Champagne sub-region. The "ripening" time of cognac depends on the characteristics of the grapes resulting from the soil, which affects the aroma and taste of cognac. In the case of Meukow XO Grande Champagne, it is also a high-class cognac, which is made 100% only from grapes grown in the world's most valuable land. With an amber color and a brilliant golden glow, the cognac is special for its slow maturation, which has resulted in the development of a rancio bouquet of aromas over the years (i.e. a combination of a mixture of dried fruits and flowers, cigar box, precious wood and tanned animal skin, among honeycomb and roasted nuts). In the long aftertaste, nuances of gingerbread and flowers can also be felt. By mixing distillates of different ages, the youngest being 10 years old, an extremely balanced cognac has been obtained, which is definitely one of the door openers in the cognac world.
