800 tequila is made using 100% blue agave only, which is hand-harvested from plantations owned by the Jose Cuervo family. The plantation is located in Jalisco, Mexico, where the agave plants grow in high-altitude mountainous areas with mineral-rich soil. Agave reaches harvesting maturity at 8 years of age and is harvested only once. The 1800 tequila glass bottle has a trapezoidal shape, inspired by centuries-old Mayan stone pyramids.

Patron Spirits began in 1989 when John Paul DeJoria and Martin Crowly founded Patron Spirits. Their goal was to produce the best tequila in the world, and they needed the Weber Blue agave growing in the mountains of Jalisco, Mexico. The production of Patron tequila uses old traditional techniques and combines them with today's modern technology. Patron Silver tequila is crystal clear in appearance and light in aroma. This fresh and mild and slightly fruity tequila is the most sold Premium class tequila worldwide. The character of the taste is a combination of fresh agave and citrus with a bit of pungent pepperiness. Patron Tequila is handcrafted in small batches and the result was the world's first Ultra Premium tequila. Each bottle is unique – made from recycled glass and hand-numbered.
