Normandie gin is produced at the Calvados Coquerel estate in Normandy, northwest France. In the meantime, the CEO of the company, Pierre Martin, lived in India for several months, where he gained a lot of knowledge about the spices and herbs there. This interesting experience left a very deep impression on him, and when he found a juniper distillate recipe approved by the King of France - Louis XV in the old family book "La Chymie du Goût et de l'Odorat" from 1765, he became interested in making his own gin in Calvados Coquerel. Calvados Coquerel distillery was established in 1937. Calvados AOP in northwestern France. The Distillery is located near the Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey. It is a family business and today the distillery is managed by the innovative blend master Mr. Pierre Martin Neuhaus. Calvados Coquerel has its own orchards of apple trees and also buys apples from long-term partners with whom they have signed long-term contracts.
