GRAPPA DI BAROLO RISERVA 43% 0,7L
One of the oldest and most famous wine estates in Piedmont. Founded by King Victor Emmanuel II of Italy in Serralunga d´Alba in 1858. The king's son, Count Emanuele Alberto Guerrieri of Mirafori, started making more serious wine in 1878. Vineyards today total 100ha. Today, the winery is owned by the Farinetti family. Amber in color. The aroma is floral and fruity complex. You can smell dried fruits, dried orange peel, roasted almonds and sweet spices. The taste is dry and fruity. You can feel some dried yellow fruits, roasted coffee beans, nuts and vanilla soft sweet spices. The aftertaste is long and velvety soft. Grappa is distilled using the pot-still method from Nebbiolo grape skins used to make Barolo and matures for 36 months in oak barrels.
