János Bolyki is a young winemaker who founded his own winery and started making wine in the Eger region in 2003. The Bolyki Winery is located in the center of Eger and János Bolyki was voted the best Hungarian winemaker in 2011. The color is ruby red with a violet undertone. The aroma is berry lush and delicate. Feel ripe dark stone fruits, red ripe cherries, in the background also dark wild berries with sweet spices. A bit of herbal bitterness at the end of the aroma with a light peppery note. The taste is medium-bodied and berry lively. You can feel black cherries and plums, some wild berries with roasted coffee beans, supported by structured berry tannins. The aftertaste is enlivened by the spiciness of black pepper. The wine is fermented in stainless steel barrels, matures for 12 months in an oak barrel and 12 months in the bottle.
