János Bolyki is a young winemaker who founded his own winery and started making wine in the Eger region in 2003. The Bolyki Winery is located in the center of Eger and János Bolyki was voted the best Hungarian winemaker in 2011. The color is ruby red with a violet undertone. Ripe dark forest berries, black currants, field berries and woody spices are present in the aroma, with peppery notes added with black tea, dried bay leaves and thyme. The taste is fuller than average and berry-herbal, you can feel ripe dark stone fruits, morels, figs, field berries and dried herbs - thyme and rosemary. In addition, sweet spices, cocoa and dark chocolate. The longer than average aftertaste is complemented by a pleasant and velvety berry park with a light spicy pepperiness. The wine is fermented in stainless steel barrels, develops for 12 months in Hungarian oak 500 L barrels and matures for 30 months in the bottle.
