One of the largest and best-known wine producers in Moldova, owning 600ha of vineyards in the regions of Codru, Stefan Voda and Valul Lui Traiani. The producer also owns the most famous and oldest winery in Moldova, Château Purcari, founded in 1827. Intense ruby red in color. The aroma is lushly berry. There are ripe dark berries, overripe field berries, blueberries and blackcurrants and a balanced pepperiness with thin berry tannins. The taste is medium-bodied, semi-sweet and has a fruity berry character. You can smell overripe blueberries, strawberries, pomegranates and some raisins. The aftertaste is of medium length, where lush berries are combined with slightly spicy berry tannins. The wine is fermented in stainless steel barrels, malolactically fermented, and no oak barrel aging was used in the winemaking process.
