One of the largest and best-known wine producers in Moldova, owning 600ha of vineyards in the regions of Codru, Stefan Voda and Valul Lui Traiani. The producer also owns the most famous and oldest winery in Moldova, Château Purcari, founded in 1827. Deep, ruby red in colour. In the aroma, overripe berry, you can feel dark forest berry stew, dried black plums, blackcurrant jam, dark chocolate, cocoa, mint and sweet spices, in the background also peppermint and cloves. The taste is sweet and berry dense, well balanced. You can smell dried black stone fruits, ripe black currants and wild berry jam. Bitter chocolate and dried black berries add to the spicy liquorice and berry aftertaste. The wine is fermented in stainless steel barrels and the fermentation of the wine is stopped by the addition of grape distillate. Wine does not develop in an oak barrel.
