Viña Cono Sur is a young and modern winery founded as a subsidiary of Chile's largest winery Concha y Toro in 1993 in the Colchagua Valley south of Santiago. The name Cono Sur translates as "cone of the south", to resemble the cone-like shape of the South American continent. The winery has over 1,800ha of vineyards in several different regions of Chile. Viña Cono Suri's motto: "No family trees, no dusty bottles, just quality wine". The color of the wine is pale yellow. The aroma is fresh, citrus and ripe yellow fruits. Feel ripe apples and ripe yellow fruits. The end of the aroma is enlivened by citrus freshness. The taste is fruity, light and citrusy, with hints of ripe yellow stone fruits, melon and yellow apples. The aftertaste is lushly fruity with balanced citrus freshness. The grapes have been picked from different growing areas in Chile, the wine is fermented in a stainless steel barrel, develops for 6-12 months in a steel barrel on yeast.
