Viña Cono Sur is a young and modern winery founded as a subsidiary of Chile's largest winery Concha y Toro in 1993 in the Colchagua Valley south of Santiago. The name Cono Sur translates as "cone of the south", to resemble the cone-like shape of the South American continent. The winery has over 1,800ha of vineyards in several different regions of Chile. Viña Cono Suri's motto: "No family trees, no dusty bottles, just quality wine". Pale yellow in color with a greenish undertone, The aroma is fresh and grassy. Smell fresh fruits, green apples, lime, gooseberries, rhubarb and nettles. The end of the aroma with a fresh, aromatic citrus freshness. The taste is lively fruity and minerally fresh. Feel fresh citrus, rhubarb, asparagus and green fresh fruits. The aftertaste is grassy mineral and with a lively citrus acid finish. The wine is fermented in stainless steel barrels and does not develop in oak barrels.
