Coppo is a historic winery from the town of Canelli in the Piedmont region of Italy, with roots dating back to 1892. The winery is one of the valued producers of quality Piedmont wines. Coppo's historic underground wine cellars or "Underground Cathedrals" belong to the UNESCO World Heritage List and symbolize the winery's long-term commitment to quality and tradition. Coppo's philosophy combines Piedmont winemaking traditions with modern elegance. Veinimaja focuses on bringing out the character of local grape varieties and expressing the terroir in each wine. Since the mid-1980s, they have been making wine at the Tenuta La Rocca winery in Monterotondo, near the Gavi region. The classic Piedmontese white wine Gavi is made from 100% Cortese grapes - one of the oldest local varieties in the region. The name of the wine comes from its historical consumers, i.e. court nobles ("corte"). Gavi La Rocca comes from soil rich in marl and limestone, which gives the wine an elegant minerality and an unexpectedly complex character.
