The winery was founded in 1892 by brothers David and Salvador Michel in the Calchaqui Valley, located 1800m above sea level. Today, it is one of the most modern wine producers in Argentina. Inky purple red in color. The aroma is intense, complex. The palate is full and dry, characterized by overripe black forest berries, juniper berries and dark stone fruits with spicy yet velvety tannins. The aftertaste is long, berry-like, herbaceous and dense, where, in addition to dark overripe berries, you can feel cloves and sweet spices from developing in an oak barrel. The grapes are picked from the oldest gardens in the region, which were transplanted in the 21st century. in the beginning. The berries are hand-picked from the vineyard of Finca La Colección. The wine is fermented with wild yeast, developed for 15 months in small French oak barrels and 6 months in the bottle. The wine is clarified but not filtered and may contain sediment.
