The winery, which is still owned by the family, was founded in 1931 by Mr. By Charles Brotte in the wine village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the Rhône region. Today, the winery is run by Charles Brotte's grandson Laurent Brotte together with his sons Benoit and Thibault. Grapes are grown on a total of 70ha of fields, which are divided between three estates: Domaine Barville in the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Domaine Grosset in the Cairanne region and Château de Bord Laudun in the Côtes du Rhône Village region. Medium intensity ruby ​​red in colour. The aroma is medium intensity and berry, with additional sweet spices, accompanied by dark wild berries, black currants and overripe dark stone fruits. The taste is dry, fuller than average and berry spicy with structured tannic acid. Feel ripe wild berries, black currants, overripe dark cherries, crushed peppermint, along with cloves and cardamom. The aftertaste is medium length, velvety and berry spicy. The grapes are hand-picked from the rocky fields of the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The berry varieties are fermented into wine separately in large concrete barrels, 30-40% reserve wines are mixed with the wine, and after that it develops for 12 months in large old oak barrels.
