The Beyer family has been growing grapes around the village of Eguisheim since 1580. Emile Beyer started making wine in 1867, and the winery was further developed by his son Léon, who passed the baton on to his son Léon Jr. in 1959. Today, the winery is run by Léon jun. son Marc Beyer and grandson Yann Beyer. Private vineyards of 20ha, most of which are located on the slopes of the villages of Eichberg and Pfersigberg with Grand Cru status. One of the representatives of the dry wine style of Alsace, together with the Hugel and Trimbach wineries. The color is more intense than average, bright yellow with a golden sheen. The aroma is intensely floral and slightly perfumey. Feel the essential oils of rose oil, dried ginger and lemongrass, overripe tropical fruits, mango, ripe citrus fruits and dried citrus peel. The taste is dry, fuller than average and has a strong fruity structure. Feel tropical fruits, mango and ripe yellow apples and sweet citrus with cumin. The aftertaste is long, fruity and slightly bitter citrus. The grapes are hand-picked from the vineyards around the village of Eguisheim, the wine is fermented in stainless steel barrels and does not develop in oak barrels.
