The Beyer family has been growing grapes around the village of Eguisheim since 1580. Emile Beyer started making wine in 1867, and the winery was further developed by his son Léon, who passed the baton on to his son Léon Jr. in 1959. Today, the winery is run by Léon jun. son Marc Beyer and grandson Yann Beyer.
