Berry grower since 1826. Today, Maison Louis Jadot is one of the most important Burgundy wine merchants, owning 270ha of vineyards in various Burgundy wine regions. Louis Jadot also makes his own wine barrels - they own the Cadus barrel factory in Burgundy and, as an innovative and comprehensive winery, also owns a plantation in the state of Oregon in the United States. Deep, medium intensity ruby red in colour. The aroma is complex and silky berry, you can feel dark berries, blueberry, wild berry, dark wild cherry and incense smoke. Adds black grain paper and a bit of animality. The taste is dry, medium-bodied, slightly mineral and elegant, with a velvety berry dense texture. Feel overripe dark forest berries, dried stone fruits, dried smoked plums, which combine with slightly spicy tannins in the aftertaste. The aftertaste is long, slightly herbal and smooth and silky berry-spicy. The grapes are hand-picked from the "Les Bressandes" 1er cru vineyard with limestone-gravel soil. The wine is fermented in large open oak barrels and develops for 18 months partly in new 228L French oak barrels.
