La Masia means farmhouse in Catalan. Mariamar Winery in California is also designed to resemble a classic Catalan farmhouse. Don Miguel Vineyard is named after the late patriarch of the family. The winery is located in Green Valley - the coolest part of the Russian River Valley, just ten miles from the Pacific Ocean. The wine is fermented in high-quality French oak barrels, 31% of which are new barrels. The wine is lush, rich and silky - with Green Valley characteristic acidity and intense apple, crème brulee and brioche aromas. Framed in elegant oak with hints of hazelnut and anise. The taste lasts a long time and is well balanced. Development potential 15-20 years. After 100 percent malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 9 months on lees. Contains sulfites.
