Marqués de Griñón was the first winery in Spain to be awarded the prestigious Vinos de Pago status. Rich and full-bodied Petit Verdot is dominated by strong blackcurrants, coffee, licorice and minerality can be felt in the background. Tannins are strong, but nicely balanced with ripe and powerful berry fruit. Spicy and woody notes make this excellent wine a good companion to robust red meats, traditional hard cheeses and developed hams. The aroma is complex, elegantly woody and herbal. You can feel the nuances of freshly ground pepper and licorice. Made from 100% Petit Verdot grapes.
