A Rioja winery with a more modern and contemporary style, founded in 1970 by Enrique Forner with winemaking experience in Bordeaux. Bright ruby red in color. Aroma with ripe red berry character, red stone fruits, cherries, plus red ripe wild berries, lingonberries and cranberries with a light herbal spiciness. Juicy berry taste, complemented by berry acidity. The medium-length berry aftertaste is complemented by a little herbal spiciness. The grapes are picked from 15-25 year old vines grown using organic farming technology. The wine is fermented in a stainless steel barrel, kept for up to 6 months in a steel barrel, is malolactically fermented and is not aged in an oak barrel. The wine is also suitable for vegans, because no animal clarification agents are used in the preparation of the wine.
