A small winery in the town of Blenheim, founded in 1978, owned by the Ibbotson family, who bought the land from the retired British mayor of Blenheim, Sir James Sinclair, naming the winery Saint Clair in his honor. Today, he owns vineyards in several different New Zealand wine regions, both in the North and South Island. Deep garnet red of medium intensity. In the aroma, berry aromatic, you can feel overripe red wild berries, dark cherries and plums with a light incense smoke note, the end of the aroma adds a bit of bitter spiciness with wet undergrowth The taste is medium-bodied and berry lively.
