Today, one of the best renovated and modern Georgian wineries was founded in 1915 and privatized in 1999. Today, it owns 450ha of vineyards and an additional 200ha of contract winegrowers in various wine regions of Georgia. Pale garnet red in color. The aroma is berry sweet and syrupy. Feel sweet and overripe wild berries, wild strawberries, strawberry pudding, raspberry syrup, sweet pomegranates and caramelized blood orange with a light balsamic nuance. The taste is lighter and berry sweet. Feel pomegranate syrup, wild strawberry-raspberry concoction, dried sweet wild berries, ripe blackcurrants and cherry jam with sweet citrus fruits and soft berry tannins. The aftertaste is long and berry-like. The grapes are hand-picked from the Marani Kondoli vineyard in the early mornings of December, when the temperature is below -9 oC and the grapes are frozen. The wine is fermented for 2 months at a low temperature, then lightly filtered and matured in the bottle for 6 months before distribution.
