One of the oldest wine producers in South Africa, it is owned by the Enthoven family, who bought the land in 1993. Pale yellow in color with a low intensity, greenish sheen. The aroma is intense and fruity and lush. Feel overripe yellow apples, apricot jam, quinces and lightly toasted almonds with sweet citrus. The taste is light and semi-sweet, with the character of overripe yellow fruits. Taste melons, baked apples, oranges and sweet yellow plums. The aftertaste is medium length and fruity lush. The grapes are picked by machines from various berry growing regions of the Western Cape, the fermentation of the wine is interrupted by cooling, so that the wine has a higher than usual residual sugar content.
