One of the oldest wine producers in South Africa, it is owned by the Enthoven family, who bought the land in 1993. The color is more intense than average, ruby red with a violet undertone. The aroma is medium intensity and berry dense. Ripe dark wild berries, dark stone fruits, wild berries and blueberries, with light peppery notes and soft berry tannins. The taste is dry, medium-bodied and juicy berry-blueberry. Feel overripe black forest berries, wild berries, black currants and a light spice. The medium length aftertaste is complemented by a pleasant and velvety berry park. The berries are picked from various vineyards in the Western Cape, the wine is fermented in stainless steel barrels and not aged in oak.
