Founded in 1899 by two enterprising gentlemen, Erminio Sella & Edgardo Mosca, the winery was originally built for the breeding of vines. One of the oldest and best-known wineries in Sardinia, making wine mainly from berries from private gardens. Vineyards total 550 ha. The color is ruby red with a violet hue The aroma shows overripe dark berries, dark stone fruits, dried herbs and a thin tannic smokiness with a sweet spice note. Black pepper is added to the end of the aroma. Ripe berry flavor with balanced tannic pepperiness. Feel vanilla, cinnamon, ripe black berries, blue plums, wild berries and blueberries. The aftertaste is elegantly berry and with good spicy tannins. The wine is fermented in stainless steel barrels and aged for 2 years in a large oak barrel.
