Stony Ocean Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is a pale straw yellow color, fresh and white wine with good acidity. The appetizing aroma and taste are dominated by ripe gooseberries, freshness and crispness are added by citrus fruits. The wine comes from the east coast of New Zealand, where the high mountains in the central part of the island protect the vineyards from strong westerly winds and the area is open to the sun and sufficiently dry. The climate is predominantly maritime, and due to the surrounding sea, summers are cool and winters are mild. Due to the maritime climate, temperatures vary throughout the year and the vineyards often experience cold night temperatures even during the hot summer months. Because of the cold night temperatures, New Zealand grapes are almost always high in acid. New Zealand is a remote island nation in the Pacific Ocean between 36° and 45° latitude, making it the southernmost wine-producing country. Since the 1970s, New Zealand has become a world-renowned and recognized wine country, where, according to many renowned wine critics, the world's best Sauvignon Blanc wines come from. Contains sulfites.
