Golan Heights Winery is located in Israel, on the Golan Heights. The first wine of the winery was launched in 1984. Yarden Sauvignon Blanc 1983 vintage. The head winemaker of the winery is Viktor Schoenfeld, who has obtained wine education at French and California universities, and all wines carry the Kosher label. Yarden's wines are made in Israel, on the Golan Heights. The first vines were planted in 1976 and the winery was founded in 1983, in the town of Katzrin. Golan Heights winery is owned by eight kibbutzim (Jewish cooperative agrarian units) and four moshavim (cooperative communes). 96% of the vineyards are located on the slopes of the Golan Heights at an altitude of 450-1200m, and there are more than 600 ha of vineyards. Yarden wines are made in the Galilee appellation, which is the northernmost and coolest.
