Calvados Boulard was founded in 1825 in Normandy by PierreAuguste Boulard. The skill of distilling has been passed on in the family from generation to generation. Calvados with a fruity, creamy character is golden amber in color with a copper undertone. The aroma is fruity, dense and full. You can feel dried baked apples with dried orange peel and sweet spices, to which the nuance of roasted coffee beans adds amplitude. The taste is richly fruity and round. Feel apple marmalade, roasted hazelnuts, milk chocolate, almonds, cloves and vanilla. The aftertaste is long, delicate and velvety soft. V.S.O.P. calvados is distilled using the 2 x pot still method from different apple varieties grown in the Pays d´Auge region. Made from cider and aged for 4-10 years in French Troncais oak barrels.
